Product introduction

Silicon carbide is also called corundum or refractory sand. it is made in the resistance furnace by 1800 degrees high temperature after pyrolytic smelting, crushing, acid or alkali wash, magnetic separation or water separation with silica sand and petroleum coke or coal tar, wood chips (green silicon carbide production need to add salt) etc as raw material,with variety of size product.At present, the industrial production of silicon carbide can be divided into: black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide(they are all hexagonal crystal,specific gravity is 3.20～3.25,microhardness is 2840～3320kg/mm2). We can provide both according customers' requirement.

Product application

Due to the stable chemical performance, high thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient,good wear-resisting performance, silicon carbide can be used in four main areas:

(1) as abrasive, can be used as abrasive tools, grinding wheel, whetstone, grinding head, sand tile, etc.

(2) as a metallurgical deoxidizer or heat-resisting material.

(3) single crystals with high purity, used in the manufacture of semiconductor, silicon carbide fibers.

(4) functional ceramics industry.
